Class Description:
Get ready to loosen up, experiment, and discover the exciting world of texture! In this hands-on acrylic workshop, we’ll explore how a variety of texture-building mediums can transform your paintings from flat to fabulous. Using materials such as fiber paste, glass beads, crackle paste, mica flakes, and more, you’ll learn how to create rich surfaces, visual interest, and expressive depth. Whether you bring a reference photo or prefer to work abstractly from your imagination, this workshop is all about playful exploration and personal expression. Morning Session: We’ll begin with guided experimentation on four 5" × 5" practice boards, giving you time to get comfortable with each medium, see how they behave, and discover what excites you most—without pressure or expectation. Afternoon Session: Armed with confidence and inspiration, you’ll move on to a 10" × 10" board to create a finished piece that incorporates your favorite textures and techniques.
