Jane Slivka relocated to Mount Dora, Florida in 2004 after growing up in Cleveland, Ohio. Originally trained as a watercolor artist, she attended Endicott Junior College in Beverly, Massachusetts and later earned a degree in Art Education from Ohio University.
A semester studying in Florence, Italy further influenced her artistic development and appreciation for color, composition, and landscape.
Today, Jane is best known for her vibrant acrylic paintings, often created on oversized canvases using rich color, texture, and layered applications of paint. Her work captures the beauty of Florida and her travels while inviting viewers into a world that goes beyond what a camera can capture.
A sought-after instructor, Jane is known for her encouraging teaching style and her ability to help students discover new confidence and joy in their painting journey.
