Watercolor Impressionism:  Landscapes

Michael Holter | Watercolor | February 22 - 24, 2027

Learn how to transform ordinary reference photos into powerful watercolor paintings filled with light, atmosphere and emotion.

In this three-day workshop, nationally recognized watercolor artist Michael Holter will demonstrate his approach to creating fresh, impressionistic paintings that capture the essence of a scene rather than every detail. Students will explore how light and shadow create mood, guide the viewer's eye, and strengthen composition.

Through demonstrations, painting exercises, and individualized instruction, Michael will help students simplify complex subjects, identify strong design opportunities, and create paintings that feel alive and expressive.
