General Workshop Information
Village Art Workshops is designed to make your experience easy, comfortable, and inspiring. Here’s what you can expect in our classroom, how most workshop days are structured, and a few helpful tips to help you plan ahead.
The Classroom
Workshops are held at the Spruce Creek Professional Center in Summerfield, Florida. Each student is provided with their own 5-foot table. We recommend bringing a plastic tablecloth to protect your workspace.

We use a camera and television projection system so everything the instructor demonstrates can be clearly seen throughout the room. If you are hard of hearing, arrangements can be made to use a microphone during the workshop. Please let us know in advance if you need any special accommodations.

Address and detailed directions are available on our Address & Directions page.

What to Expect During the Workshop
Most workshops follow a similar daily rhythm:
-
Morning demonstration and instruction by the artist
-
Guided student practice time
-
A midday break for lunch
-
Afternoon demonstrations, individual work time, and instructor feedback

Workdays are structured but relaxed, allowing plenty of time to learn, experiment, and paint.

Comfort and Supplies
Jackets or sweaters are recommended, as the classroom temperature may vary.

You may bring your own lunch or choose from many nearby restaurants.
