Mark Menendez is a Florida-based colored pencil artist, portrait painter, and illustrator with over 35 years of professional experience. He has taught extensively through live workshops, online webinars, and art organizations including the Colored Pencil Society of America and the Society of Decorative Painters.

Mark is known for remarkable realism, rich textures, and dramatic color contrasts, and he teaches a clear, practical approach that demystifies lifelike colored pencil portraits and still lifes.
His supportive teaching style helps students build foundational skills such as form, value control, and color layering—often using his signature methods like the “Four Color Process.”
