You don't want to miss these two days of playing with the unpredictable, intense colors of alcohol inks on Yupo. Sandy will show you many ways to create beautiful art without having to draw a thing! Beginners to advanced artists are welcome in this workshop to enjoy the fun of learning new techniques using watercolors and alcohol inks combined in unique ways.

The second session of this week's workshop will be spent delving into creative uses for watercolor and fluid acrylics on YUPO. Color and texture are so fabulous on YUPO, and Sandy will demo many of the techniques she uses to "skate the paints" on that slick surface. Then you will master them with her guidance, with additional focus on improving the composition and design of successful paintings. Artists will create one-of-a-kind masterpieces followed by Sandy's helpful critiques of each person's work.

Glass Fusion Class for Brush Strokes

Fee: $50 plus $20 supply fee (includes glass, kiln firings and tools to share)

In this introductory class you will learn:

Basics of fusing (what happens in the kiln)
Types of fuses (how time and temp affects the outcome of glass)
How to cut glass • How to complete one project
The beginning of your glass addiction

You will also meet the requirement of learning a basic fusing class that most clubs in The Villages require.

The instructor (Annie) will supply the glass and an assortment of tools. (You will more than likely have to share.)

You will make a 6”x6” dish using Fusers Reserve glass. Just look at the choices you will have!

Hobby Lobby carries the 2" flat Golden Taklon brush by Master's Touch. It's about $12.
I also found a nice #60 Royal & Langnickel Jumbo Firm brush at Michael's that I like for $17.99.
I prefer the Golden or Liquitex heavy body over the fluid paints for the workshop.
