Slow down and explore a more contemplative approach to art inspired by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, where beauty is found in the imperfect and the incomplete. In this workshop, you’ll create layered painted papers and transform them into a simple, expressive collage rooted in texture, restraint, and natural form.

Korinne Carpino is a mixed media artist and instructor based in Mount Dora, Florida. After a 35-year career in healthcare, she pursued her passion for art full time and has been painting for over 20 years.

​

Korinne is best known for her vibrant work in alcohol inks, a medium she has explored extensively for more than a decade. In addition to alcohol ink, she works in gel plate printing, collage, and other mixed media processes, often inspired by the colors and textures of nature.

​

Her artwork is collected internationally and has appeared on magazine covers and in published books on alcohol ink techniques. She is also a contributing instructor with the Alcohol Ink Art Society, where she shares her techniques with artists around the world.

​

Korinne is known for her encouraging, approachable teaching style. She helps students feel confident exploring new materials while developing their own creative voice.
