"Teaching Tuesdays Batik Workshops" May 6, June 3, July 8, August 5, September 16 9 am - 3 pm (one-hour lunch break) All Levels Welcome Fee: $89 plus $6 supply fee per each one-day workshop payable to Wanda Boyd Fee includes some supplies: a 24"x37" sheet of Unryu paper reference photo, outline, wax and the use of wax pans and an iron. Registrants will need to bring other supplies enumerated on the supply list. Class Description:
Learn the art of Batik! In this series of one-day workshops we will layer free-flowing, bold watercolors on rice paper, utilize wax as a resist, then use the final cracks to produce fine detail lines. Once completed, we will mount our work on a stretched canvas. You will leave with a colorful, fun & whimsical piece of art, ready to hang! Click for Supply List |
