Class Description:
Join Korinne Carpino and learn about alcohol ink. Korinne is an alcohol ink artist, contributor and instructor with the globally known Alcohol Ink Art Society. In this 3-1/2 hour workshop you can explore using alcohol ink to paint this beautiful flower garden on an 8" X 10" synthetic paper. You will learn to create a background, use different tools to move the inks, how to create depth, how to lift inks, and how to create highlights and shadows in your work. During this workshop Korinne will walk you through the process step-by-step to ensure your success. Your completed painting will be placed in an an 11" X 14" acid-free white mat and placed in an acrylic sleeve ready for presentation. This class is suitable for beginner level through intermediate, and Korinne will provide all supplies needed to create the piece, including synthetic paper, mat, acrylic sleeve, inks, paint palette, brushes, solution and disposable gloves. Students will want to bring a table covering and an apron or smock to protect clothing as ink stains. |
