Open Studio Wednesdays at Village Art Workshops
Bev and Wanda started Open Studio as a way for artists to spend the day together doing what they love best – creating! Because let’s face it, art doesn’t happen by chance. Artists generate ideas, but they need space and time to develop these ideas. For visual artists, it all comes together in the studio, the place where that spark of inspiration catches fire.
Our open studio days are intended to foster creativity and encourage experimentation in an atmosphere of conversation, encouragement, and freedom of expression. |
Every Wednesday during May through September. Village Art Workshops is your place to meet with fellow artists and work on your personal projects. Sometimes we will have a brief demo, or a still-life will be set up, or we may explore a topical subject. Participants can either participate or just start working on their own. Open Studio Wednesday is $10 per day, and the doors open at 10 and close at 3. Artists come and go as they please. We have stand-up easels, table-top easels, tables, a sink, and natural and artificial light in our classroom.
You don’t need a reservation for Open Studio, but it is always nice to have an idea of who is coming. If you’d like to let us know you are going to participate or if you’d like more information, drop us a line below.
