Class Description:
For each of the workshops, we will complete a painting in a day using loose brushstrokes in an impressionistic style. We will touch on the concepts of toned background, color mixing, transparency versus opaque colors, composition, and negative space. Each workshop will focus on a different concept, i.e. flowers, water, abstract techniques and clouds. Cindy will provide reference photos. We will complete the painting together in stages. We will do color mixing and loose brushstroke exercises in the morning, followed by technique instruction and demonstration. The abstract painting classes will use an intuitive process with lots of mark making. Click for Supply List |
