Class Description:

Create texture and add depth to your paintings in this experimental workshop with Jean Pederson. Using a variety of acrylic mediums you will learn to build up interesting surfaces and intriguing grounds that can be used within your paintings or as a base for finished work. We will explore techniques to achieve a variety of effects, including layering, texturizing, glazing, and more, and then use these ideas to develop finished pieces. Bring ideas for subject matter that interest you, or work from the
class demo.

Feel free to work on paper, canvas or wood - any surface you're comfortable working on (or would like to try). Other mixed 
media techniques may be explored incorporated and applied during the course- collage, drawing mediums, etc.). This 
course is suitable for both abstract and representational subjects.
