Pop Up Art Gallery

Our pop up art gallery event is scheduled for the second Friday of each month, starting in October of 2021.  From 5 pm to 7 pm, art enthusiasts, collectors, interior designers and the general public are welcome to stop by our art center to see fantastic art from ten of the most talented local artists.  These artists are hand selected by our gallery committee to ensure the quality and caliber of our event you've come to appreciate with Village Art Workshops.

Interested Artists

If you are interested in being a part of our Pop Up Art Gallery event, please contact Bev Hennessy at (352) 572-5317 or [email protected].  Be prepared to provide examples of your portfolio for review.  All art must be the artist's own work; we are accepting only two dimensional art (i.e. watercolor, acrylic, oil, collage)

Once your work has been reviewed and your application approved, you will choose how to display your artwork during the event.  The price for a 6' section is $25 and includes a 5' table and one chair.  However, you can ask for a space without a table and bring your own easels display screens or browser box to fit within a six foot space.  For $35 you can display your work using two 3-foot sections of our gallery displays.  Only four spots with gallery displays are available. On the day of the pop up gallery event participating artists can start setting up at 3 pm.

Marketing will be done by both Village Art Workshops and participating artists.  Village Art Workshops will market via their 2,500 strong email bank, Facebook page, Instagram, and through two ads in The Villages Daily Sun.  We will also add you to our webpage.  We will send each participating artist a newsletter with information about them and request those artists to also market to their family, friends, and any other outlets available to them.
