May 31 Class Description:

For spring Annie will be teaching a fused glass garden stake class.  You will be making three garden stakes that will be fired by the instructor.   She will have four samples and you will choose three  to make.  You can keep one for you and two to give away (or keep all three . . . we won't tell!).

You will be cutting, chipping and grinding glass.  The instructor will be providing all of the glass, tools and firings. This is a great way to experience glass fusion without the heavy cost associated with it.

As a BONUS - You will be making a “twisted” pendant.  The instructor will be bringing some hand made twisted vitrograph which normally costs about $20.00 for a 6” piece.  This is all included in the price!

August 9 Class Description:

Participants will make a 4” x 12” floral panel.  In this class participants  will learn  some fundamentals about glass fusion, how to cut, chip and grind glass. Fine frit (tiny pieces of glass) will be used for the background to create a glass shaded background.  In the foreground, participants will learn how to make at least three  to five different types of flowers. Vitrograph will be  made and pulled by the instructor and brought to class to be used in the floral composition.  As an extra bonus, participants will choose a dragonfly that the instructor will pre-make if they want to use it in their composition.

Please be aware, the instructor will make every effort to use the same type of glass used in the example, but at times certain colors of glass will not be produced and the instructor will provide an alternate color.

As a BONUS - You will be making a “twisted” pendant.  The instructor will be bringing some hand made twisted vitrograph which normally costs about $20.00 for a 6” piece.  .
