Sandy Maudlin has been teaching Watercolor for over 25 years and teaches workshops throughout the states and in Europe. She holds a degree in Art Education from Indiana University and is a Signature Member of both Watercolor Society of Indiana and Ohio Watercolor. Sandy has won numerous awards and Best of Shows and, besides teaching, also juries and judges art shows through the country. She also facilitates weekly ‘open studio’ sessions in her Indiana studio near Cincinnati, Ohio.

Make your next masterpiece an adventure full of color, great composition, and fascinating textures. Sandy Maudlin will guide you as you create your own, one-of-a-kind painting from your reference materials or photos. She will challenge you to explore new possibilities with watercolor on Arches or Fabriano watercolor paper. Her demos will inspire you to paint outside the lines, and Sandy’s one-on-one assistance will encourage you as you go. Not to be missed!

Bring your acrylics and gesso, along with your brushes to discover new ways to create realism out of chaos! Sandy Maudlin will demo both fluid acrylics and heavy body acrylics (tube acrylics) along with gesso and other supplies to lead you on a journey full of amazing surprises. Using your own choice of subject matter, you will paint a fascinating, even breathtaking, acrylic on the surface of your choice. This workshop promises loads of fun along with a few challenges.

This workshop is a comprehensive class in which students are taught a unique figurative collage technique. Students will learn hand painted papers and collage technique. Emphasis will be on developing form using light, shadow, and directional ripping– very similar to traditional painting techniques. No prior collage experience is necessary. Some painting experience would be helpful, but not imperative.
