Class Description:
Laurin McCracken combines many of the skills he learned as an architect with his experiences of studying art history, drawing, taking photographs and visiting many of the world’s leading museums to use as a watercolorist. Laurin is a nationally renowned watercolorist specializing in realism. In this class you will learn how to paint a higher degree of realism in your paintings. Laurin will demonstrate how to paint silver, clear glass, fabric with lace and a piece of fruit - all of the basics of still life realism. He will also show you how to use McCracken Black to create a black background that is matte and doesn't reflect light. Laurin will also demonstrate various techniques that he uses to paint realism.
