Class Description:
Students will learn how to make their paintings more dramatic and alive with color. This class will help unlock the exciting mystery of color to enrich your paintings in a modern way. The workshop focus will be on color theory, design and self-expression. Sally will be demonstrating with acrylics, although students may paint with oil if that is their preference.
The first day Sally will lead students through various exercises on color mixing, choosing colors, and using colors in ways to harmonize paintings. These fun exercises will bring a greater understanding of values, complementary colors, tints, tones and grays. On Sunday students will practice colors combinations learned on Saturday using their own subject matter; or, if preferred, on subject matter provided by the instructor.
