Class Description:

In this workshop we will explore some new ways of adding texture to your watercolor paintings that move beyond the usual salt and splatter. We will make liberal use of granulating pigments and granulating medium to enhance the natural texture of our subjects.  During the first day, we will practice a variety of techniques and complete one or two small studies.  On day two, we will consolidate what we have practiced in a landscape painting or cityscape painting.  Students are free to use their own photographs and compositions or take advantage of the one that I will provide and demonstrate.  All watercolor skill levels are welcome.
