For each day, you will prepare by making a black and white copy of the image and have it drawn on either a quarter or a half sheet of 300 lb. watercolor paper prior to class. Anne asks that you do not do any masking ahead of class with the exception of the bike project (masking guide provided with supply list).

October 6 - Day three will be the Bismarck Palm: Anne doesn't usually teach this project because the image is a bit more complicated, but she's simplified it for us, so let's give it a go! Anne is looking forward to painting it in a workshop for the first time with us.

Without forgoing the important building blocks of good design, you’ll be encouraged to experiment and find success outside your comfort zone. You’ll learn how to “paint with less restraint” while bringing energy and artistic spirit to your work. In her casual and charismatic way, she’ll challenge you to complete up to two paintings each day as you discover the freedom of acrylics. Through daily demos Jane will show you her free-form technique and style, but she’ll always encourage you to develop your own freedom and artistic viewpoint.
